Manufacturer Car Servicing

As a franchised car dealership group, we’re in a very strong position to offer approved manufacturer servicing across many renown brands.

Each of our franchised locations benefits from workshop technicians that are specially trained for each brand represented, while the equipment used is also down to manufacturer specification - including any diagnostics systems and software.

You can also be safe in the knowledge that, during any manufacturer service, only genuine parts are used by our technicians, ones that are made for your vehicle and offer better reliability and longevity compared to aftermarket equivalents.

Approved manufacturer servicing also goes a long way to keeping your car’s warranty intact and valid, thanks to all such servicing being done to brand standards.

Types of Car Service

Full Car Service

Covering all the basics, a full car service is the foundation of car maintenance, designed to be done every 12 months/12,000, keeping your vehicle running safely, efficiently and reliably.

Included in a full car service are the likes of an engine oil and oil filter change/replacement, with further replacements for air and pollen filters.

Adding to the comprehensive nature of such a car service, your vehicle will also benefit from checks in key areas, such as brakes, suspension, battery, tyres, lights and exhaust.

Depending on make and model of the vehicle, anywhere up to around 70 checks are made, all done to identify potential issues early to help prevent costly repairs and maintain performance.

Major Car Service

As the most thorough form of vehicle maintenance, a major car service offers further checks and changes to paint a complete picture of your car’s health.

A major car service is recommended every 24 months/24,000 miles and often involves more than 90 individual checks, including extra attention for drive belts and timing components.

Compared to a full service, you’ll benefit from the likes of fuel filter replacement and spark plug replacements where applicable, as well as comprehensive fluid checks and replacements where needed.

A major service is key to refreshing key wear-and-tear components, and to carry out a deeper inspection of the vehicle’s condition.

Interim Car Service

For those high-mileage drivers, an interim car service could be a very useful way of maintaining their vehicle on a regular basis.

Recommended every six months/6,000 miles, an interim service looks over the essential aspects of a vehicle to help with day-to-day performance, safety and engine health.

An interim car service will usually see the likes of an engine oil change and filter replacement, as well as inspections on key areas of the vehicle.

Overall, an interim car service will see around 40 checks made to ensure the health of the vehicle is monitored in between annual services.

Do You Have to Service Your Car?

Why Car Servicing is Important

It’s no secret that motor vehicles are complicated machines, featuring many moving parts that need to work in unison in order to operate effectively and efficiently.

Though not a legal requirement, having your car serviced is a core factor in making sure it remains in working order.

As the components of your car work over time, there will be natural wear and tear, and servicing ensures that these parts are checked over thoroughly to keep them safe, reliable and performing as intended.

Servicing goes a long way to reducing the risk of serious and costly repairs being needed - the many checks done during a service look for any components that look as though they need attention before it’s too late.

Additionally, for those with a manufacturer warranty still in place, car servicing will be a key element in keeping it valid.
