As a rally homologation car, the no-compromise GR Yaris has been developed with passion and innovation. Its three-cylinder, 1.6-litre turbocharged engine features advanced motorsport technologies to ensure it’s not only compact and lightweight but also offers outstanding power and response. Harnessing this bespoke powerplant’s 257 BHP is a six-speed manual transmission and a dedicated platform featuring high-performance double wishbone suspension and powerful 356 mm, four-pot front brakes. To ensure every horsepower is used to thrilling effect, Toyota produced its first sports 4WD system in 20 years for the GR Yaris. Developed with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing and honed by WRC drivers, the innovative GR-FOUR 4WD system offers exceptional control and stability. Via a 4WD controller, drivers can vary front/rear torque distribution through three modes, Track, Sport and Normal, letting them tailor the car’s behaviour to their mood. Being a truly bespoke hot hatch, the GR Yaris could only be hand-built in one place: Motomachi, Japan. Assembled on Toyota’s first GR production line, the GR Yaris’ motorsport-inspired interior showcases the plant’s legendary quality and attention to detail. Being handmade by experts means that each GR Yaris takes over 10 times longer to be assembled than a conventional mass-produced car. Contoured GR Ultrasuede® Sports Seats and a leather three-spoke GR steering wheel provide grip and control, while aluminium sports pedals and signature red stitching nod to the GR Yaris’ competition pedigree.
