How Motability Works

The Motability Scheme is a fantastic establishment that helps so many people gain independence through mobility.

Not only does the Scheme offer a comprehensive automotive package, but it can all be covered by allowances you’re already receiving.

What is Motability?

At the heart of it all, the Motability Scheme allows you to lease a car - driven by you or a named driver - with all the costs covered by an eligible Motability allowance.

Each lease lasts three years, and enables you to replace your car each time with a new vehicle once the three years are up.

Meanwhile, there is a 60,000-mile limit during the lease - each additional mile is charged at a pre-determined rate (typically about 5p per mile).
