At the end of January we were sadly informed that one of our colleagues, Paul Beaumont had passed away very suddenly.
Paul was the Sales Manager of the Goole branch and had worked at Stoneacre for 5 years. He was a valued member of staff who was well known and respected by his colleagues.
The whole team were touched by this loss and were keen to do something in Paul’s memory. Paul’s family had requested that, as Paul often did day-to-day, anyone attending his funeral wear odd socks and that donations to the British Heart Foundation were made in lieu of flowers.
In light of this, his colleagues at Goole suggested that it would be nice if all staff could donate £1 and wear odd socks on Thursday, 14th February, Valentine ’s Day. As a result, all of our branches were invited to take part to help raise more.
In total, we have managed to raise £700 for the British Heart Foundation charity in Paul’s memory.
While we understand this is a tiny act on all of our behalf’s, we hope it goes some way to paying a fitting tribute to Paul, a popular and much-loved team member.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Paul’s family at this incredibly difficult time.
