Renault is reviving one of its most iconic models with a modern twist.

Meet the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, an electrifying homage to the legendary Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2 from the 1980s.

This isn’t just a retro revival. Instead, it’s a cutting-edge performance EV that combines advanced technology, incredible speed, and a bold design.

A Modern Take on a Rally Icon

Inspired by its rally-bred predecessors, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E captures the essence of competition and innovation.

Developed alongside Alpine, Renault’s performance division, this model delivers an exhilarating driving experience.

It features 540hp from in-wheel motors, rear-wheel drive, and an 800-volt system for rapid charging.

Accelerating from 0-100km/h in under 3.5secs, with a top speed of 270km/h (on track), this electric hot hatch is built for performance.

Its carbon fibre construction keeps the weight at just 1,450kg, ensuring agility and sharp handling.

Bold, Aerodynamic Design

Renault has seamlessly merged retro aesthetics with futuristic elements.

The Renault 5 Turbo 3E showcases an aggressive stance, featuring extended bumpers, a large rear wing, and aerodynamic enhancements for improved efficiency.

LED headlights honour the original models, while 20-inch wheels house individual electric motors, giving it a rally-inspired edge.

With dimensions of 4.08m in length, 2.03m in width, and 1.38m in height, this compact hot hatch embodies supercar-like proportions and a dynamic driving experience.

Electric Performance

This high-performance EV features a 70kWh lithium-ion battery at its core, offering up to 400km of combined range.

Thanks to its 350kW DC fast-charging capability, the battery can charge from 15% to 80% in just 15mins.

It also supports bidirectional charging (V2L & V2G), allowing integration with smart energy solutions.

For an authentic motorsport feel, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E includes a drift-assist function, a rally-style vertical handbrake, and four driving modes: Snow, Regular, Sport, and Race.

Delivering 4,800Nm of torque, it ensures instant power and precise handling.

Inside, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E embraces a driver-focused cockpit. Carbon fibre bucket seats, six-point harnesses, and Alcantara trim enhance the racing experience.

Two high-resolution OpenR displays provide essential driving, multimedia, and navigation information, integrating seamlessly with Google services.

Custom & Limited Edition

Personalisation is a major highlight. Buyers can choose from classic liveries like Rouge Grenade or a bespoke modern finish.

Renault will produce just 1,980 units, a nod to the launch year of the original Renault 5 Turbo. Each car will be individually numbered, making it a true collector’s item
