It will come in two versions: a rear-wheel-drive 309bhp model starting at around £55,000 and a four-wheel-drive twin-motor version with 536bhp, estimated to cost around £65,000.

Originally planned as a successor to the MG TF, the Cyberster’s design had to be modified to accommodate a large traction battery, resulting in a longer wheelbase.

Renault 5

2024 Renault 5

Renault confirmed it will highlight the Renault 5 at the Geneva Motor Show on 26 February 2024. Designs filed with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) provided an early look, revealing a close resemblance to the acclaimed 2021 concept car.

The prototype draws styling inspiration from the 1972 to 1985 Renault 5 models, incorporating modern tweaks for a retro yet futuristic appearance. The silhouette mirrors the original five, borrowing features from iconic iterations like the cult classic Supercinq and R5 Turbo.

Front headlights and a front-mounted EV charging point have been modelled after the original, while wide rear wheel arches and a sporty red stripe paid homage to the R5 Turbo hot hatch, hinting at a potential high-performance version.

Featuring five doors with integrated handles for a sleek design, the prototype also included daytime running lights in the lower front bumper. Though details about the Renault 5’s interior remain limited, a minimalist design with a modern transparent digital instrument panel is expected in the production model.

Renault Rafale E-Tech

2024 Renault Rafale E-Tech

Built on Renault’s CMF-CD platform, the new coupe-SUV Renault Rafale shares close ties with the Austral but distinguishes itself by being approximately 200mm longer, 10mm lower, and boasting 40mm wider tracks. This results in a flagship with a distinct presence on the road, featuring crisper surfacing and refined detailing. Under the guidance of Renault’s design director Gilles Vidal, known for revitalizing Peugeot, the Rafale is a clean-sheet project displaying a design connection with his previous work.

The Rafale’s design incorporates clever details, such as a three-dimensional grille with a coloured inner section revealed as you move around the car, ‘oil-slick’ coatings in the headlight elements, and a continued evolution of Renault’s front-end lighting signature. The cabin, akin to the Austral’s, elevates material quality through increased use of soft-touch materials and trim highlights in materials like blackened cork or real slate. Standard features include Renault’s l-shaped digital interfaces, with the central touchscreen equipped with Google-designed software.

Toyota Land Cruiser

2024 Toyota Land Cruiser

The Land Cruiser shifts from the J150 to Toyota’s new Global Architecture, featuring a more manoeuvrable and comfortable body-on-frame structure. The chassis is 50% more rigid, and the SUV promises increased responsiveness and comfort.

With a larger size, redesigned cabin, and upgraded features, it aims for a more upscale market. While maintaining its all-terrain focus, enhancements include improved wheel articulation and off-road driving modes. The Land Cruiser remains rugged yet gains refinement, making it a solid choice for a versatile SUV.
